What the game saves

When you start playing as a guest, we create a player ID without asking for your email. We save your nick, games and room participation, draft and submitted guesses, scores, activity times, and preferences such as your theme. These records power your game history, streaks and statistics.

If you create an account, Supabase also manages your sign-in details. If you choose Google sign-in, Google supplies account information such as your email, name and profile information. We use this to identify your account. Your email is not shown to other players.

Other players in your room can see your nick and game progress. Guesses and scores are shared according to the round-reveal rules. If you choose to share a result or an invite link, the people you send it to can see the information included in it.

Storage on your device

The game uses browser local storage to remember your sign-in session and theme. Clearing it can sign you out and may stop you accessing an unlinked guest session. It does not delete the game records stored with our service.

Services that help run the game

Cloudflare hosts the website and photos. Its Turnstile verification helps prevent automated abuse.
Supabase stores game and account records and provides sign-in and room updates.
Google provides the website fonts and, if you choose it, Google sign-in.

These services receive technical information needed to deliver and protect their services, such as your IP address and browser information. They may keep operational or security logs and use security-related browser storage.

No advertising or audience-analytics tools are installed in this game. During this small beta, email/password accounts do not require email confirmation. Confirmation and password-reset emails are currently disabled. We will update this notice with the delivery provider when they are enabled.

Keeping or removing your data

Account and game history currently remain stored until you request removal; there is no automatic inactivity cleanup. Operational logs and provider backups follow separate retention settings and are not part of your visible game history.

To request access, a correction or deletion, contact buildguessr@gmail.com. Requests are handled manually. We may ask you to verify which account or guest session belongs to you before making changes. Never send your password or a sign-in token.
